Disposal and recycling of old equipment by household consumers

Electrical and electronic equipment should never be disposed of with general household waste but must be separately collected for the proper treatment and recovery. The crossed-out bin symbol, placed on the product, reminds you of the need to dispose of the product correctly at the end of its life.

In this way you will assist in the recovery, recycling and reuse of many of the materials used in this product.

With your help it is possible to reduce the amount of electrical and electronic waste ending up in landfill and to improve quality of life by preventing the release of potentially hazardous substances into the environment.

When buying a new product from us you will have the possibility to return another end of life product of equivalent type that has fulfilled the same functions as the supplied equipment and we will recycle the old one at no extra cost to you. In order to return an item of WEEE under these regulations when you are purchasing an equivalent item from us please call 01730 264672.

The items can be sent or hand delivered to Unit 6 Bedford Road Petersfield Hampshire GU32 3LJ.

The WEEE Regulations do not entitle you to free collection of WEEE and the cost of the postage to our facility is at your expense. Alternatively you can find the nearest recycling facility to you from the Recycle-More website: www.recycle-more.co.uk.

Battery Recycling

In the United Kingdom (UK) batteries and accumulators are regulated to help protect the environment through the Waste Batteries and Accumulators Regulations 2009 (as amended).

Under Regulation 5 of the Batteries and Accumulators (Placing on the Market) Regulations 2008, “Producers” are required to mark all relevant batteries and battery packs placed on the market in the UK with the “crossed out wheeled bin symbol” to remind consumers not to discard batteries and accumulators in the domestic waste stream.
